The agreement between you and us. Short, because the service is small.

The service

Flatline watches scheduled jobs. Your job calls a URL when it finishes and may report a number. If a check-in does not arrive in the window you set, or the number falls outside the expectation you set, we try to alert you by email, and by Slack or Discord on a paid plan.

No guarantee of uptime

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available or that every alert will arrive or arrive on time. While the service is unavailable, check-ins are not recorded and alerts are not sent, which means silence rather than a false alarm. Do not use it as the only safeguard for anything where a missed alert causes serious harm.

Your account

Sign-in links are personal. Anyone holding one can use your account, so treat it like a password. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for having the right to monitor the jobs you point at us.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to attack anyone, to disguise traffic, to send check-ins at a rate that degrades the service for others, or to break the law. We may suspend an account that does.

Paying

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled. Cancel any time from the billing portal in your dashboard; the plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for and then returns to free. We do not prorate part months. If something goes wrong on our side, write to us and we will sort it out, refund included.

Ending it

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for losses caused by a job that failed while we did not alert you.

Law

Dutch law applies, and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Who runs this

Flatline is operated from the Netherlands by the individual who runs it, reachable at support@flatlineping.com. Write to that address for anything in this document, including a data request or a complaint, and you will get a reply from a person.
